Our Story
John Hawks was born on the Apache reservation in Arizona . He started doing Silversmithing with his grandfather as a young boy, being his eyes and hands as his grandfather aged. Then his grandmother suggested that he start carving stone. Soon his carving began to get national and international recognition Some 50 years later his stone, bone, and wood carvings can be seen throughout the world. Gail Hawks works with her husband creating traditional artifact work that represents the old world tradition. Her bead and leather work are museum quality. Her Native jewelry is one of a kind. The variety of work is too vast to write about. It is something that you must see and experience for yourself. Gail is of Comanche heritage.
